Ms. Jannette Sánchez-Rodríguez is a Milberg Associate in Puerto Rico whose practice is rooted in serving others and protecting the rights of individuals.

She obtained her Juris Doctor from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, School of Law after graduating from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras. There, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a double major in Human Resources and Office Systems, in addition to a specialized curriculum sequence in Business Communication.

Ms. Sánchez-Rodríguez offers extensive practical legal experience. She honed her skills in criminal law during her clinical practice at the San Juan Court of First Instance, where she handled criminal cases in Rule 6 proceedings. Her role as a paralegal for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Puerto Rico expanded her expertise through supporting federal prosecutors in a wide array of cases including criminal, civil, and terrorism-related matters.

She assisted the Deputy Director at Servicios Legales de Puerto Rico in matters including environmental law, family law, property law, and civil cases. Her international experience includes collaboration with foreign law firms in environmental law cases. She has contributed to cases involving water contamination in Flint, Michigan and assisted in legal actions against major manufacturers such as Monsanto, Johnson & Johnson, and Pfizer.

Ms. Sánchez-Rodríguez’s passion in life is service, having volunteered for several charities that primarily serve children, including the Ronald McDonald House Charities and Make-A-Wish foundation. She volunteered with VOCES of Puerto Rico during the pandemic through vaccination rallies and provided fundraising assistance to the elderly during the Puerto Rico earthquakes.

In her limited free time, Ms. Sánchez-Rodríguez enjoys learning, spending quality time with her son and partner, sailing, going to the movies, and gathering with friends for events.
