Peggy Wedgworth and Milberg Tadler Phillips Grossman LLP Appointed Lead Class Counsel in the Auto Dealership DMS Antitrust Litigation

On April 16, 2018 after considering competing motions from various firms, the Honorable Amy St. Eve appointed Peggy Wedgworth and Milberg Tadler Phillips Grossman LLP Interim Lead Class Counsel representing car dealerships nationwide in a class action regarding antitrust violations against defendants CDK Global, LLC and The Reynolds and Reynolds Company. The litigation is entitled In re: Dealer Management Systems Antitrust Litigation and is in the Northern District of Illinois.

Ms. Wedgworth was appointed as lead counsel on behalf of a putative nationwide class of auto dealerships to pursue antitrust claims regarding anticompetitive practices by Defendants CDK and Reynolds regarding the Dealer Management System software services (DMS), and Data Integration Services (DIS). The DMS is the “central nervous system” of a car dealership, implementing all its operational information, including payroll, inventory, human resources, marketing, repair and service, and customer information. DIS enables Dealers and third-party software application providers to extract, organize and integrate the Dealer’s own data on its DMS into a usable format. Class Plaintiffs allege federal and numerous state antitrust violations.

Milberg Tadler’s lawyers have represented consumers, investors and businesses, in important cases for over four decades, and serve as lead counsel in numerous courts throughout the United States.
