Jacob M. Morse practices in Milberg’s class action, complex litigation, and personal injury practice groups, working on cases pending around the United States in federal and state courts. Mr. Morse believes there is something special about taking up the task of fighting for the wronged or harmed. He works to stand up to corporations and special interests, and enjoys finding creative ways to protect the rights of consumers and those harmed or injured by no fault of their own.

Mr. Morse began his career at a large regional corporate law firm where he focused on commercial and business litigation. He then transitioned to working as a plaintiff’s lawyer concentrating on personal injury and malpractice litigation, including wrongful death, catastrophic and workplace injury, and auto torts. He has appeared in courts across the country, including federal and state trial courts, as well as the American Arbitration Association (AAA). He has tried cases to jury verdict and arbitrator’s award.

As a law student, Mr. Morse took an elective course titled “Complex Litigation” taught by Milberg’s co-founder, Dan Bryson, and quickly became interested in the firm’s work pursuing justice in interesting and complex cases across the country. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Morse competed on Campbell Law School’s national mock trial team, where he and his teammates amassed numerous championship victories across the country. Mr. Morse remains the most decorated trial advocate to graduate from the law school, having completed his competitive trial advocacy career with a championship victory at the 2017 Top Gun National Mock Trial Tournament.

Outside of his practice, Mr. Morse continues to give back to the legal community by coaching Campbell Law School’s Mock Trial teams, volunteering with the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) New Lawyers Division and the Wake County Bar Association’s (WCBA) Young Lawyers Division, and serving on the North Carolina Mock Trial Program’s Board of Directors. In January 2023, he began his term serving as President of the WCBA’s Young Lawyers Division. He prides himself in having coached one regional and two national championship-winning mock trial teams (including the AAJ 2019 national championship in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and 2019 National Civil Trial Competition in Santa Monica, California).

Outside of his legal interests, Mr. Morse loves taking in concerts and shows. An avid beach goer, he loves the sand and sea most in the winter. One of his favorite hobbies involves spoiling his retired Irish racing Greyhound, Rosie.
