Mr. Samuel Gilot is a Milberg Senior Associate whose practice focuses on insurance and complex commercial litigation.
Originally from Haiti and raised in Miami, Florida, Mr. Gilot graduated from Florida State College of Law. After law school, he worked at the Florida Legislature, advising members of the Florida House of Representatives on commerce and insurance legislation. Following his time at the Legislature, Mr. Gilot has focused on his passion for litigating.
Most recently, Mr. Gilot worked at a statewide business law firm in Florida, representing policyholders in disputes against insurance companies, particularly in cases involving high-end residential and commercial property damage.
Mr. Gilot is very active in his local community, serving as president-elect of the Tallahassee Barristers. He also serves as a director and board member at the ICE Foundation, a Florida-based nonprofit that provides youth mentorship and community service opportunities throughout the state.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters, coaching Mock Trial at FSU, and traveling.
