Tim Longest

Associate

Tim Longest is a Milberg Associate focused on class actions and appellate advocacy.

In 2022, Mr. Longest was elected as one of the youngest state representatives in North Carolina, representing his Raleigh district in the North Carolina General Assembly. Before entering private practice, he clerked for Senior Associate Justice Robin Hudson on the North Carolina Supreme Court and Chief Judge Linda McGee on the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

Mr. Longest’s experience clerking on both of North Carolina’s appellate courts has equipped him to provide sound counsel and successfully navigate cases involving difficult legal issues at trial and on appeal. He serves on the North Carolina Bar Association’s Appellate Rules Committee and volunteers with the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.

Mr. Longest is a native eastern North Carolinian. He is a double Tarheel, having received a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013 and a J.D. with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2018. During law school, Mr. Longest served on the North Carolina Law Review and was inducted into UNC’s Order of the Golden Fleece for civil rights advocacy.
