Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
In 2022, Milberg proudly launched its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Committed to improving the quality of our workplace, Milberg believes a healthy firm is one firmly invested in its people. The Milberg DE&I Committee is tasked with setting goals, hosting firmwide events, creating policies, and establishing initiatives that foster a more diverse, welcoming, and inclusive firm culture. Chaired by Senior Partner Peggy Wedgworth and Partner Vicki Maniatis, the Committee is rapidly expanding to include attorneys and staff members of all kinds, joined by their dedication to optimizing the Milberg employee experience. At least once every quarter, the Milberg DE&I Committee hosts its “Speaker Series,” during which guests speakers join the firm for deep discussions surrounding trending topics that involve diversity, equity, and inclusion, all intended to educate and inspire our team. The Committee also encourages internal programs and affinity subgroups that promote the mental wellness of our attorneys and staff. This includes mentorships and resources for our newer hires and ongoing support for our most seasoned team members. As our firm continues to inspire meaningful change across the globe, Milberg’s DE&I Committee strives to inspire the same meaningful change across the legal industry. Being a global force for good starts here.
It takes no compromise to give people their rights… it takes no money to respect the individual. It takes no political deal to give people freedom. It takes no survey to remove repression.
