Christian K. Torres is a Senior Associate in the Class Action and Multidistrict Litigation Department of Milberg’s New York office. Christian’s practice encompasses a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters including consumer protection, data privacy, securities, product liability, contract disputes, and insurance recovery actions. He has represented clients in a variety of industries in state and federal courts across the United States and has experience with every stage of litigation.
Prior to joining Milberg, Mr. Torres was an Associate at a leading defense-side commercial litigation law firm in Puerto Rico, focusing on securities litigation and arbitration, bankruptcy, employment law, and commercial contract disputes. In that role, he conceived various legal theories and prepared a diverse array of pleadings and trial memoranda that secured significant victories in state and federal courts.
Mr. Torres earned a B.B.A., cum laude, from the University of Miami in Finance and Business Administration; a B.A., magna cum laude, from Rutgers University in Philosophy and Political Science; and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. While in law school, Christian served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Brian K. Tester of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico and clerked at a Labor and Employment Law boutique firm.
Mr. Torres is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
