Kelsey Gatlin Davies

Senior Associate

Kelsey Gatlin Davies is a Milberg Senior Associate in the Knoxville office who specializes in consumer class action litigation. Mrs. Davies is involved in several of Milberg’s practice areas, working on both class action cases and multiple multidistrict litigation matters involving defective and mislabeled products, environmental law, and mass toxic torts. She is a member of Milberg’s Consumer Products Group and serves as the Co-Chair of the firm’s Caregiver Affinity Group.

Before shifting her practice to complex litigation, Mrs. Davies litigated personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Currently, Mrs. Davies focuses her practice on cases involving dangerously defective and mislabeled products for infants and children.

For her work on class action cases, Mrs. Davies has been recognized as a 2024 Top Plaintiff Attorney in Class Actions by CityView Magazine. She has also been awarded Top 40 Under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers for a second consecutive year.

Mrs. Davies joined the firm in July of 2020. Immediately upon joining the firm, Mrs. Davies began working on the Kingston Coal Ash Spill Litigation, Adkisson, et al. v. Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., and throughout her first three years of practice, played an instrumental role in litigating and bringing resolution to this case involving over 300 victims of the largest industrial disaster in U.S. history, the 2008 Kingston Coal Ash Spill in Kingston, Tennessee.

For her work on this matter, Mrs. Davies, along with her colleagues, was selected as a finalist by Public Justice for Trial Lawyer of the Year.

Mrs. Davies earned her Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Professional Rhetoric from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2014, where she graduated with honors and was presented with the Outstanding Senior Award in English. In 2020, she graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law where she concentrated in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution, practiced as a student attorney in the Community Economic Development legal clinic, and assisted clients with both transactional and trademark matters.

In law school, Mrs. Davies served as the President of the Environmental Law Organization and Director of the 10th Annual Appalachian Public Interest Environmental Law Conference. She competed as a member of the College of Law’s National Environmental Moot Court team, for which she received the Ogden & Sullivan Best Brief Award. She earned CALI awards for achieving the highest grade in Legal Process, Trial Practice, Environmental Law & Policy, Environmental Justice Seminar, and Community Economic Development Clinic.

Mrs. Davies is licensed to practice in all state courts in Tennessee and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Tennessee and the Northern District of Illinois.
