Leland Belew became an attorney in 2013, focusing on consumer protection and employment discrimination class actions as well as complex individual litigation. Though he resides outside of Chicago, Mr. Belew works closely with Milberg’s Knoxville and New York City teams.
“Corporations have a vested interest in pushing the limits of what is safe for consumers and maximizing the labor they can squeeze out of employees. Often, the only way they are held accountable is when someone they’ve injured along the way stands up and objects… and they have the loudest voice and can have the biggest impact when they assert claims on behalf of a class. I believe in helping those consumers and employees right a wrong that is harming so many people.”
Mr. Belew brings Milberg his class action experience and honed litigation skills, both managing cases and mentoring junior associates.
Outside the office, Mr. Belew enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and the family dog. He likes woodworking (furniture and cabinetry), gardening, and investing in projects around the home.
