Ms. Lia Sophia Di Fiore Tavárez-Cortés is a Milberg Associate working out of its San Juan, Puerto Rico office.

Although her prior experience involved medical malpractice, immigration, and environmental law, her practice is primarily focused on commercial litigation and property claims.

Ms. Tavárez-Cortés received her J.D. with a minor in Law & Technology from the Interamerican University Faculty of Law. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico.

She is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Environment, Energy, & Resources Section and a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association.

Outside the office, she enjoys hiking and exercise. Always open to new adventures and exciting challenges, Ms. Tavárez-Cortés spends her time reading, learning new languages, traveling, and solving puzzles. She strives to continuously learn new skills across numerous interdisciplinary areas to optimally serve her clients.

Ms. Tavárez-Cortés is admitted to practice in Puerto Rico.
