Mark Svensson represents clients in complex consumer protection, data privacy, and class action litigation. Mr. Svensson brings substantial litigation, negotiation, and regulatory experience to his practice, having represented clients in litigation against both corporate entities and government agencies. Widely recognized for his strategic and analytical approach to advocacy, Mr. Svensson has established himself nationally as a highly accomplished and respected advocate, contributing to the successful resolution of numerous consumer protection and data privacy disputes with significant legal and societal implications.

Prior to joining Milberg, Mr. Svensson was an Associate at Levi & Korsinsky, LLP, where he practiced in the firm’s Consumer Litigation and Mass Arbitration Group, representing consumers nationwide in complex litigation and arbitration proceedings. Earlier in his legal career, he served as an Attorney Advisor in the Office of Capital Access at the United States Small Business Administration, where he advised on federal programs supporting the recovery and revitalization of American businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Svensson enjoyed a successful career in public service, serving in a number of roles dedicated to advancing the public interest. His work across government and civic organizations provided a strong foundation in public policy, advocacy, and organizational leadership—experience that continues to inform his practical and client-centered approach to the practice of law.

Mr. Svensson earned his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law as a Distinguished Scholar recipient. During law school, he gained legal experience across multiple levels of government and international institutions, serving as a Law Clerk with the United States Attorney’s Office, a Legal Intern with the New York State Office of the Attorney General, and a Legal Intern with the United Nations Office of Internal Oversight Services. Mr. Svensson earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, graduating with honors, and a master’s degree from George Washington University.

An active leader within the legal profession, Mr. Svensson serves on the American Bar Association’s Pro Bono and Public Service Forum Committee and was appointed to the New York State Bar Association’s President’s Committee on Access to Justice. He is also a member of the Rockland County Bar Association.

Mr. Svensson is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey, the Northern District of Illinois, and the District of Columbia.

Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Svensson is actively engaged in civic and community leadership. His commitment to public service has been recognized by elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels of government, reflecting his longstanding dedication to advancing initiatives that strengthen communities and expand access to justice.
