MICHAEL J. GALLAGHER, JR. is a Partner at Milberg Tadler Phillips Grossman LLP, focusing on antitrust, securities class action, and complex litigation.

Prior to joining MTPG, Mr. Gallagher was a partner at a top plaintiffs’ class action firm specializing in claims involving commodity manipulation, price fixing, and exchange-related antitrust claims. His litigation casework includes contributions in: In re LIBOR-Based Financial Instruments Antitrust Litigation No. 11-md-02262 (S.D.N.Y.), Sullivan v. Barclays No. 13-cv-02811 (S.D.N.Y), Laydon v. Mizuho Bank No. 12-cv-03419 (S.D.N.Y); In re Term Commodities Cotton Futures Litigation, No. 12-cv-05126 (S.D.N.Y.) and In re Aluminum Warehousing Antitrust Litigation No. 13-md-02481 (S.D.N.Y.).

Mr. Gallagher clerked for The Hon. Helene N. White of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and also clerked for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Enforcement. He worked for now-Senator Elizabeth Warren as she chaired the Congressional Oversight Panel, responsible for monitoring the Troubled Asset Relief Program. He also served in the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division.

Mr. Gallagher graduated from Rutgers Law School, Camden and obtained his B.S in international business relations and non-profit management from Franklin and Marshall College. Prior to law school, Mr. Gallagher had a career in finance. He is a volunteer with, and former board member of the American Civil Liberties Union of New York and served as a member of the Board’s Investment Committee. He has also served as a mediator in municipal courts in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Gallagher is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and is admitted Pro Hac Vice in the State of New York, pending admission on Motion.
